Meet Executive Director, Travis Rosenthal
As Executive Director, Travis Rosenthal is responsible for the business management of the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, including marketing, fundraising, programming, and a wide array of educational programs and community outreach.
Rosenthal is on staff with Conn-Selmer, Inc., where he is a web content manager and multimedia specialist. He was formerly on staff at Merit School of Music, where he worked closely with the Board of Trustees and did work in marketing, multimedia projects, and many other initiatives. Mr. Rosenthal holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from McKendree University and a master’s from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Having presented at national conferences and completed several free lance projects in marketing and creative services, Mr. Rosenthal is always working to be on the cutting edge of marketing, multimedia, and creativity.
His musical experience includes trumpet, guitar and vocal performance. He has handled both small and large-scale concert production, including experience with Chicago Jazz Orchestra, jazz groups, rock groups, and large-scale recording projects. He has also managed music contracting and booking, as well as music promotion, for several musical organizations.
